Just 15 kilometres north of Torrevieja lies Guardamar (also know as Guardamar del Segura) having around 10,000 inhabitants, famous for its beautiful landscape with almost twelve kilometres of beaches and hundreds of sand dunes enclosed by pine, palm and eucalyptus trees. Over time this beautiful area has attracted an enormous amount of wildlife and is now an environmentally protected area.
Guardamar del Segura is an ideal location to enjoy a variety of water sports including windsurfing, water skiing and scuba diving.
The town itself retains a lively Spanish feel and is very well located with Alicante town and airport being just 20 minutes away.
