Los Alcazares
Los Alcazares is the central town on the Mar Menor which features excellent infrastructure and services including a wide variety of international restaurants, grocery stores, banks, pharmacies and entertainment options. The mineral-rich water of the Mar Menor is revered for its health-giving properties and the town still has thermal baths which have existed since Roman times. This area enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine each year.
Throughout the whole year Los Alcazares and the surrounding area offers a wide variety of water sports and entertainment. For golfers this area is a paradise holding multiple golf courses and resorts.
Los Alcazares lies in a very convenient location being well connected to the recently upgraded motorway network and regular flights can be found to many European cities from the Murcia/San Javier Internationl airport being only a 5 minutes drive away. Alicant airport provides an even wider choice of flights and is just an hour away.
The centre of the region, Murcia city, can be found 30km northwest of Los Alcazares, and the beautiful Roman port city Cartagena only 15km southwest.
Los Alcazares benefits from over 7 km of coastline and has a lovely promenade up and down the strip. Enjoy restaurants and beach chirinquitos at your leisure.
